印尼汽車市場連續幾個月銷售慘淡，即將在這個月首次在印尼登場的國際車展，讓許多車廠紛紛重燃希望，想要藉由車展聚集人氣和買氣，帶動車市回春的新氣象。
TOYOTA和HONDA已決定於7月20日展開為期十天的車展上，為新車款揭開序幕。車廠希望新車款和下跌的貸款利息，能夠讓到場參觀的20萬名民眾擁有購車意願。汽車市場一直是推動印尼經濟成長的一員猛將，但自從去年印尼政府大幅度的調高油價之後，汽車銷售量就面臨了滯留的狀態。
今年前半年印尼國內汽車銷售量與去年同期相比，下滑49.3%。已有分析家預測，今年印尼國內的汽車銷售量絕對無法達到去年533,910的成績，銷售量應該只會在37萬至40萬輛之間。不過在油價高漲之際，專家認為小型的省油車款或許可以扳回一城。
印尼境內最受歡迎的TOYOTA，將搶在車展之前推出Avanza、Camry以及「超人」限量版的Yaris。HONDA則會推出配有更強勁引擎的Accord，NISSAN也會在車展中推出升級版的Teana。
