HONDA的柴油引擎，美規版全數配置自排變速箱！

全世界最多自排車的國家是哪裡？當然不必猜，就是美國，自排新車幾乎佔了整個市場的九成多，正因為如此，一般乘用房車想要進入當地，沒有自排還真賣不出去。

由於HONDA當初開發柴油引擎是以手排居多的歐洲地區為主，如今為了進軍美國，勢必要改為自排變速系統，縱使產品力再強，卻也敵不過消費者的用車習慣，所以繼先前宣布2009年五月要在北美推出柴油車款消息後，現又宣布確定要開發柴油引擎專用自排變速系統，這樣的訊息對當地顧客來說確實是利多。

2003年底HONDA推出自行開發的柴油引擎四2.2升i-CTDi，搭載在歐規版Accord上，並成功進入當地市場，如今為了因應美國柴油的動力需求，HONDA已著手開發3.0升大排氣量柴油動力，然而柴油引擎最大特色，就在於高扭力輸出，若採用傳統自排變速系統似乎不堪負荷，因此原廠將進行自排變速系統的調整，以承受大扭力的功率輸出。

一旦HONDA在2009年於美國推出柴油車款後，接下來的地區應該會是日本，至於台灣是否會出現HONDA柴油科技，那就看總代理是否有意引進了。
