即將在下星期展開的日內瓦車展，來自全球各地的車廠，這一次要互相較勁的不再只是車子的外觀、性能、和配備，新車款是否可以減少造成全球暖化問題的廢氣排放，也成了大家最想要比一比的項目，或者應該說「最想要」比一比的項目！
現在唯一的問題就落在消費者身上，我們是否願意購買一台環保節能車？許多專家指出，第七十七屆的日內瓦車展，將會著重在「綠意」而非「馬力」。來自德國Nuertingen大學的汽車市場專家Willi Dietz認為，這將會是日內瓦車展有史以來最「環保」的一次。
讓hybrid油電車在全球發光發熱的日本車廠，理所當然的首當其衝，肩負起推廣節能車的重責。TOYOTA繼Prius之後，將推出象徵未來動向的油電混合概念車Hybrid X。HONDA則想要以一台小型的hybrid概念跑車，顛覆一般傳統「跑車耗油」的想法。DAIHATSU雖然沒有打算推出ybrid車款，但全新的小型車Cuore據說二氧化碳廢氣排放量為99 g/km，低於歐盟訂定的120 g/km標準。
就連以強勁引擎聞名的歐洲車，也將擁抱綠色環保的理念，推出更多的小型和中型車，來響應這波節能的全球運動。BMW推出的一系列車款，它不但擁有hybrid動力系統，馬力為143的引擎更只會製造出123 g/km的二氧化碳廢氣排放量。AUDI也將推出節能版的A3，所配有的1.9升柴油引擎，所製造出的二氧化碳廢氣排放量，剛好就等於歐盟所訂下的標準。
