日本車廠HONDA將開始在中國推出節能的hybrid油電車。中國現在經濟成長帶動了汽車產業的發展，眾多的人口和無限的發展潛力，汽車市場的成長速度在幾年後，的確有可能和美國並駕齊驅。
中國雖然起步較晚，但是卻可以從已開發國家的失敗中學到教訓，避免重倒覆轍。濫用資源的美國，正好可以讓中國作為借鏡，那就是及早正視環保的重要。由於發展速度過快，中國的法規始終趕不上民間演變的速度，目前嚴重的汙染問題，不只出現在大城市，較偏僻的地區也因為遠離大家的視野，因而成為最佳「倒垃圾」的地點。
嚴重的汙染問題從何而生？其實是都是有跡可循，只是中國地大物博，鞭長莫及的狀況經常會發生。還好現在向社會大眾宣導環保節能的重要性也不算太遲。HONDA打算在中國推出hybrid油電車款，也是因為受到當地鼓勵車廠推出節能車、對抗環境汙染問題所致。
HONDA的hybrid油電車會在2007年底於中國推出，車廠的發言人表示，剛開始會先從日本進口Civic油電版到中國，雖然未來極有可能會在當地生產，但目前尚無明確的計畫。
