本田之翼航向青空，HONDA Jet獲美國FAA航空管理局型號認證

懷抱著HONDA創辦人本田宗一郎的願景與「The Power of Dreams」的品牌口號，HONDA在2005年首次公開展出HONDA Jet商務客機，讓HONDA自1986年以來所投入的航空發展資金有了最為明確的回報，當時便預計將會在2015年完成HONDA Jet交付客戶的計畫。
HONDA在2006年於美國成立Honda Aircraft Company（HACI），負責HONDA一切與航空產業相關的業務，在歷經多次試飛與接連不斷的改進之後，於2013年讓機型代號為HA-420的HONDA Jet通過美國聯邦航空管理局（Federal Aviation Administration；FAA）的TIA（Type Inspection Authorization）型別檢查授權書，最終更在2015年12月9日獲得FAA的型號認證。代表著HONDA Jet在强度、性能、安全性、功能度和可靠性等方面皆符合FAA對於航空器的要求，並由FAA局長親自頒發型號認證證書給HACI社長藤野道格。
在為獲得型號認證所實施的各項測試中，HACI與研發人員帶著HONDA Jet走遍美國70多座機場和試驗場地，累積飛行測試時間超過了3000小時。HACI社長藤野道格也表示目前位於北卡羅萊納州的HACI生產工廠，目前共有25架HONDA Jet處於最終組裝階段，並最終將會在年底開始交付給客戶。
擁有5.43×1.52×1.51m機艙、12.99×12.12×4.56m尺碼的HONDA Jet擁有6名乘客的標準配置，最大航程為2185km，在13106m高空中的巡航速度為778km/h，在OTWEM（Over the Wing Engine Mount）的技術架構之下，透過將引擎置於主翼上方，並和機體緊密連結，如此一來降低風阻，並創造出更好的速度和燃油經濟性，比起同級機型的400海浬(約740km/h)表現更好。HONDA Jet的問世毫無疑問成為「The Power of Dreams」品牌口號的最佳詮釋。
