如果你有在工業環境和場域中工作過，你就會知道在工作場域中，將東西從一個地方移動到另一個地方，將會佔用很多時間。HONDA為此正提出解決方案。持續開發其自動駕駛工作車，它將在2023年 美國工程機械及配件展（CONEXPO-CON/AGG ）公開展示。這是HONDA已開發的第三代自動駕駛工作車。
與之前的版本相比，它的貨物區域有兩個棧板大小的置物空間，它的有效載荷能力為 2,000 磅，高於第二代型號的 880 磅。且貨床較低，方便於取置貨物。
HONDA最新的自動駕駛工作車行駛最高時速可達 10 英里（16 公里/小時）。配備的一組 18.6kWh的電池充飽電，可運行 10 小時。在運行時，車輛現在能夠在全球導航衛星系統信號較弱或無法使用導航的區域，提供更好的導航功能，它還具有強化的障礙物偵測功能。基於平板電腦的編程界面，會指引車子如何走更簡單。
美國HONDA汽車公司的系統工程經理Jason VanBuren表示，我們相信本田 AWV 可以成為支持施工團隊的有價值的解決方案，同時還可以提高工地效率和安全性。利用HONDA開發可靠、安全和清潔的移動技術方面數十年的經驗，我們將能解決勞動力短缺和改善工作環境等問題。
HONDA對自動工作車的想法是，建築工地的人可以告訴這台機器該去哪裡。它將擁有導航到那個地方所需的所有傳感器，而不需要額外的人工輸入和操控，讓一個工人騰出時間做其他事情，而不必開著卡車去運送貨物。
