本田、三菱、豐田名列汽車表現 操作與設計(APEAL)榜首

根據J.D.Power亞太區所發表的2000年台灣汽車表現，操作與設計(Automotive, Performance, Execution And Layout, APEAL)研究報告顯示，本田(Honda)、三菱(Mitsubishi)與豐田(Toyota)各自有兩台車型被顧客們選為最具有吸引力的汽車，這項新車品質調查咨詢，主要是來自超過5,800位新車主，調查他們對於新車款式設備的吸引力，而所作出的評定。
Honda City在小型車當中表現最好，而Honda CR-V連續三年來在越野車型中排名第一，Mitsubishi Lancer以及Space Gear則分別在入門車型和商用廂型車獲選為最具有吸引力的汽車。Toyota囊括一般中型車和頂級中型車的榮譽，分別是Corona Premio以及Camry 。
今年的汽車表現，操作與設計總分只比去年進步了少許，“有許多排名榜首的車型都能在生命周期過程保持高水準的吸引力。其中，Honda和Toyota則比去年進步了超於5%。”J.D.Power亞太區主管Christopher Bonsi評論道，“如果一個車型能著重於車主們所重視的汽車表現，操作與設計，稍微更改，就能有效地維持吸引力而不滅。”汽車表現，操作與設計研究報告就是識別這些關鍵領域，讓車廠們將用戶的反饋，融入到產品設計和規劃。
2000年台灣汽車表現，操作與設計研究，是由8大類屬性組，其中包含超過100個顧客喜歡或不喜歡的特性，這包括車子造型及外觀，引擎及傳動性能表現，舒適或便利性，駕駛操作及操控，座椅，空調系統、駕駛座及儀表板和音響系統，J.D.Power亞太區每年將會舉行此研究，以提供車商們顧客對他們的汽車各方面有所喜歡或不喜歡的意見。
