身為HONDA的旗艦車款，Legend以優異的車室空間表現，以及為人所稱道的VTEC引擎動力表現，在豪華房車市場中佔有一席之地﹔不過隨著潮流的轉變，Legend也略嫌老態，HONDA原廠當然並不希望如此，尤其正值內憂外患之際，更要力圖振作！因此Legend的改款更是刻不容緩。
根據消息來源指出，HONDA Legend的對手，將目標直指M-BENZ的S-Class與BMW 7系列，由此可見其企圖心所在﹔而且既然點名歐系車為對手，想當然爾在操控上必有過人之處。據聞動力輸出將可能一舉達到300hp的水準，以符合其旗艦車款的地位﹔而傳動系統更有可能採四輪驅動系統，以應付高層買家越來越重的口味。
另外讀者若是還有印象的話，之前AUTONET曾介紹過的HONDA Inspire，其上的最新引擎動力分配系統，也將會用在新一代的Legend身上﹔也就是引擎會在非必要時，如定速循航時，關閉一半的汽缸，以節省燃油。而從Legend已在Takasu track的跑道測試上來看，HONDA很有可能在今年的東京車展上，推出新一代Legend的概念車，請讀者拭目以待。
