HONDA不走辛苦路，Hybrid中國大陸目前無緣

日本TOYOTA可算是Hybrid的箇中高手，同樣HONDA的實力也相當驚人，然而HONDA社長福井威夫卻認為，在中國玩Hybrid似乎太辛苦！
雖然TOYOTA即將在中國生產Prius，但HONDA 社長福井威夫對於這件事情並不表示認同，最主要是當地市場規模，再加上消費者用車習慣與其他地區差異非常大所致。
根據他表示，Hybrid若與汽柴油引擎相較，在全球的數量只能算九牛一毛，且絕大多數都集中的先進的北美地區；而對於中國市場，福井威夫的分析是，該地區目前並沒有對高油價時代產生太大恐慌，雖然中國很可能在短時間內變成第二大汽車佔有率國家，但這麼一大片土地上畢竟有車人數不多；且多數人還停留在汽柴油動力，Hybrid似乎是另一種領域的科技。
所以針對TOYOTA導入Prius在中國生產，他給予AutoNet的答案是：TOYOTA將會走得很辛苦，HONDA並不會貿然跟進，也就是說，中國消費者短時間無緣和HONDA Hybrid見面。
