下一代CR-X有譜，HONDA投入Hybrid技術

雖然最新一代日規Civic Type R已經誕生，縱使賦予強悍的性能和絕佳的操控性，但四門造型總比不上雙門來得俊美，也因此HONDA仍執意要開發下一代CR-X，不過先前曾言要搭載800-1000cc小排氣量計畫如今打住，因為原廠有更厲害的科技要問世。
原本在HONDA的規劃中，最快在2008年底前要推出排氣量1.0升以內的中置引擎小跑車，也就是CR-X的後繼車款，然而在燃料能源問題當紅、日本市場少子化與M型社會逐漸嚴重的情況下，HONDA決定取消初期計畫，改採另一個環保方案，也就是搭載直四1.3升與電動馬達的Hybrid組合。
根據AutoNet所掌握的最新訊息，新CR-X的車身尺寸約在4000×1760×1270mm左右，軸距則在2350mm，就級距來看等於是小型車，而底盤結構和即將問世的新Fit共用，外型上則與三月日內瓦車展中亮相的「Hybrid Sports Concept」非常神似，動力則為可發揮95hp馬力的直四1.3升引擎與電動馬達組合，當然為了經濟油耗，HONDA工程師希望能達到每公升35.0公里的目標。
雖然離新CR-X正式量產尚有兩年左右，但為了不讓TOYOTA專美於前，HONDA可能會將售價壓低在日幣200萬圓以內，折合新台幣約72萬元，這樣的身價和策略必定能引發Hybrid市場新戰事。
