HONDA FCX Clarity美國首位車主誕生，就是導演Ron Yerxa。

先前曾將報導，將氫燃料電池車款從概念帶往現實世界的新一代HONDA FCX Clarity，將會提供給日本與美國消費者租用。在美國，FCX Clarity將在南加州地區限量租賃使用（包括保險與租金，三年期600美元），首位交車者是好萊屋製片/導演Ron Yerxa和他的太太Annette Ballester，時間就在今年7月25日。

導演Ron Yerxa是美國最幸運的環保車主，在交車之前HONDA氫燃料電池車款顧問Tim Cunningham，也細心地解說FCX Clarity該如何在氫燃料加氣站添加燃料，以及該如何正確駕駛。

FCX Clarity身上的氫燃料電池組，由HONDA栃木縣賀町廠負責，日本方面也計畫在今年第三季左右開始租賃業務，由於燃料電池車的成本高且設備並不完善，因此HONDA預估FCX Clarity於美日兩國在三年的總產能僅為200輛。

導演Ron Yerxa是美國最幸運的環保車主，在交車之前HONDA氫燃料電池車款顧問Tim Cunningham，也細心地解說FCX Clarity該如何在氫燃料加氣站添加燃料，以及該如何正確駕駛。

北美HONDA副總裁John Mendel表示，FCX Clarity所產生的動能便能驅使車輛行進，唯一排放物是純水，對於環境完全不會造成任何污染；煞車或減速時所產生的能量，也會透過CMBS儲能系統（Collision Mitigation Brake System），全數回存至鋰離子電池板當中，讓能源使用更有效率。

此外，雖然FCX Clarity初期僅會供給消費者租用，但是HONDA仍會在美國南加州地區，建立行銷網路與售後服務中心。
