HONDA Insight美國售價比Prius便宜2200美元！

日本車壇兩大龍頭HONDA和TOYOTA即將在美國上演一場別開生面的龍爭虎鬥，兩家車廠選擇較勁的擂台，正是歐美國家目前當紅的油電車市場。HONDA Insight油電車即將在美國上市，其售價比TOYOTA Prius基本款的價格還要少2200美元。
HONDA Insight預計將在3月24日於美國推出，車廠表示該車款的售價大約在19800美元到23100美元之間，與TOYOTA Prius的價格相比確實更具市場競爭力。2009年的Prius價格約在22000美元至27765美元之間。「剛開始低價位所能造成的影響有限，」密西根汽車市場調查公司Planing Edge的分析師Alan Baum表示。
「HONDA看好年中的市場表現，到時候銷售情況會有所改善，他們認為到時候Insight在消費者眼中會比Prius更具吸引力。」日本第二大車廠HONDA選擇在對手最如魚得水的戰場，正式迎戰TOYOTA，可說是勇氣可嘉。TOYOTA計畫在今年後半年推出改版Prius，其油耗表現和性能不但勝過上一代的Prius，就連Insight也難與其爭鋒。可想而知，Prius和Insight的角力之爭將會非常精彩。
今年前兩個月，美國油電車銷售量滑落30%至31466輛汽車，而整體汽車市場的銷售量則下跌39%。此外，據AAA的美日油價觀測站指出，油電車需求量下滑，主要是因為今年一、二月的油價比去年同月遞減40%至每加侖1.94美元。在2008年全美油電車銷售量當中，Prius佔有50%的銷售量。
