自1982年首次以高級子品牌ACURA進軍美國市場的日本車廠HONDA，在長期的用心經營之下目前在美國境內擁有四座生產基地，除了從事旗下汽車、引擎以及變速箱的組裝生產作業之外，也提供旗下全地形車和農用器具等組裝作業，其中於1999年規劃，2001年正式開始運轉的阿拉巴馬州生產基地也在12年後的今天迎來歷史性的一刻。

近幾年日系車廠在不斷的飽受泰國洪水肆虐以及311地震，以及日圓匯率的影響下，除了持續降低日本國內的生產規模之外，也開始將生產基地佈局在全球各地，以進行分散風險的動作，HONDA在過去也宣布為了進一步將產能分散，除了投入大量的人力與資源，未來北美地區將會成為旗下車款主要的出口國之一。

然而在日本原廠的政策主導之下，位於阿拉巴馬州，2001年開始專事生產HONDA旗下大型車款的生產基地，目前的生產線除了有旗下最受歡迎的大型休旅Pilot、7人座Odyssey，以及廣受美國市場歡迎的Pick-Up車型Ridgeline和ACURA 旗艦休旅MDX之外，甚至配合俄亥俄州的Marysville工廠生產Accord所需要的V6引擎，生產線可說是十分多樣。

HONDA阿拉巴馬廠廠長Tom Shoupe表示，歸功於旗下多間周邊供應鏈的完美配合，以及超過4000名員工的通力配合下，才能使得在這12年間以爆炸型的成長，不僅寫下300萬輛汽車組裝下線，同時也生產超過300萬具引擎以利其他姐妹廠的生產作業，除了在滿足消費者的高需求量的同時，還能同時兼顧製造品質，HONDA向員工們的卓著表現致敬！
