以技術掛帥以及不斷創新的品牌精神起家的HONDA，從引擎製造商起家，跨足二輪機車、四輪汽車領域，靠著優異的產品實力皆獲得相當亮眼的成績，然而以「The Power of Dreams」為企業標語的HONDA，更是將夢想化作實際力量，於是乎象徵人類智慧頂端、不斷進化的AISMO機器人，以及將夢想望向藍天的HONDA Jet更是宣告踏入航空領域的決心，如今這架輕型商務噴射機，也在近日通過美國聯邦航空管理局（Federal Aviation Administration；FAA）的TIA（Type Inspection Authorization）型別檢查授權書，夢想起飛只差一步。

除此之外，在服務端的145個飛機維修廠也同時通過FAA的認證，證明HONDA培訓的維修技師未來已經足以提供HONDA Jet的廣大維修業務，根據Honda Aircraft Company社長藤野道格表示：「目前待FAA專業飛行員進行最後的飛行測試後，並期望在2015年完成交付客戶的預定計畫」。

HONDA自1986年起開始投入航空產業，超過20年的航空領域經驗，也終於在2005年美國EAA航空展中，發表了嘔心瀝血的首架準量產飛機Jet，並於2006年正式於美國成立Honda Aircraft Company，將總部設立於北卡羅萊州的Piedmont Triad航空科技園。

擁有5.43×1.52×1.51m機艙、12.99×12.12×4.56m尺碼的HONDA Jet擁有6名乘客的標準配置，最大航程為2185km，在13106m高空中的巡航速度為778km/h，在OTWEM（Over the Wing Engine Mount）的技術架構之下，透過將引擎置於主翼上方，並和機體緊密連結，如此一來降低風阻，並創造出更好的速度和燃油經濟性，比起同級機型的400海浬(約740km/h)表現更好，看來HONDA Jet不只是本田的技術的結晶，更是HONDA敢夢敢挑戰的最佳典範。
