許多HODNA車迷總是在問：為何Type-R一直遲遲不引進到台灣市場？這個問題將因為台灣本田（Honda Taiwan）新任董事長豐田誠（Toyoda Makoto）到位而有了答案。不只是Type-R明年將會來台， HONDA的綠能車Hybrid油電車型，如CR-V Hybrid，明年有年也有望導入。而今日台灣本田也針對2020年式小改款CR-V，正式宣布預售展開，96.9萬元起跳，造型和內裝小改，配備和安全規格則是大幅升級。

過去媒體一問到Type-R和新能源車何時會導入台灣市場，歷任的台灣本田董事長總是說「評估中」，不過今日在CR-V新年式預售活動記者會中，台灣本田新任董事長豐田誠表示，台灣本田將會引進更多更有開創性的產品，面對市場激烈競爭，Type-R和油電車型的導入計畫將會「深入檢討」，明年應該有機會。而今年底前，將會和營業本部共同研商明年產品計畫，將會在年底前的記者會，再公布導入的產品內容。

來自日本大阪的豐田誠，是業務出身，對市場有著高敏感度，他曾在派任英國、巴西和祕魯等三個市場，台灣是他個人第四個派駐海外的市場，事實上，他也曾在美國市場任職，他的就位有望改變過往台灣本田保守的產品策略。

而今日Honda Taiwan台灣本田也正式宣布CR-V小改款預售活動展開，將導入三個車型，包括 VTi、VTi-S和S 等車型，預售價各為 96.9 萬、103.9 萬和113.9 萬元，比小改前小幅調漲，而正式售價將在9月3日CR-V正式發表上市時公布，預料車價或有可能反向下修。

2020年式小改款五代CR-V，外觀和內裝做了微整型，主要是在主動安全科技和內裝配備做了大幅升級。在外觀上，包括換裝全新設的前保桿，加上新的燻黑鍍鉻水箱護罩，並配上鋼琴烤漆，飛翼式車頭燈也追加列陣式方向燈，而車尾同樣有全新的後保桿搭配扁平化雙出尾管，另外也有燻黑鍍鉻飾條和燻黑的尾燈罩，而車側部分則換裝新式樣18吋鋁圈。

因應同級競爭車款的挑戰和消費者的需求，CR-V座艙變化主要新增多項新配備，如感應式電動尾門、副駕駛座電動座椅、智慧手機無線充電座、整合式駐車雷達系統，並追加Honda Sensing主動安全輔助科技和6氣囊在內的23項進化的主被動安全配備，以提升產品力。

CR-V小改款入門的 VTi 車型，標配 Honda Sensing、6 氣囊、彩色液晶儀表、DAM 駕駛注意力監視系統、3 模式倒車攝影機、Smart Entry 車門啟閉系統、Push Start 引擎啟閉系統、電子手煞車與感應式雨刷；中階的VTi-S 增加電動尾門、無線充電座、LED 前霧燈與頭燈、盲點警示、7 吋觸控音響主機、衛星導航與雙區恆溫空調。頂規S 車型，追加Hand Free感應式電動尾門、PSS 駐車雷達系統、序列式 LED 前方向燈、副駕駛座 4 向電動座椅調整、駕駛座 12 向電動座椅調整、全景天窗與 EPT 電子式預縮安全帶。

至於動力系統和底盤與傳動具沒有變動，動力仍配備1.5升 VTEC Turbo渦輪增壓汽油引擎，最大馬力193PS，最大扭力24.8公斤米，但引擎進排氣和汽門冷卻與燃燒效率做了強化，傳動系統則仍配備CVT無段變速箱。

配合CR-V預售活動展開，台灣本田也提供預售送好禮活動，前1000訂車送Honda多功能背包，並於Honda Taiwan粉絲團舉辦CR-V萬人按讚活動。
