在全世界機器人工學中，似乎還沒有人氣比HONDA Asimo更旺者，打從問世以來便深獲大家歡迎，還擔任許多國際重要場合的親善大使，如今最新進化版又在日前推出，有他那公司秘書可能都要沒工作！
繼去年Asimo的行走速度從1.5km/h提高為3km/h，動作幅度更大後，今年12月中旬HONDA又推出進化版Asimo，不僅步行速度更快，就連動作也更像人類，甚至還能做工作。
HONDA為了讓Asimo更像人，原廠可是重新改寫機器人工學，並鑽研人體工學，在經過一年的時間後，Asimo的步行速度終於和人類一樣，維持在時速6km/h，並且可以做蛇行前進，同時也可與人手牽手快樂並肩走。另外，由於許多結構和程式重新修正，因此Asimo也能推著小推車，甚至端茶水。
根據HONDA開發部門表示，為了達到類人型機器人的開發工程，本田技研投入相當龐大的精力與金錢，為了就是落實本田宗一郎的夢想，如今新一代Asimo的進步，代表HONDA正朝著機器人性化的目標邁進。
至於進化版何時開始服務？預計明年春季在HONDA和光辦公大樓內就可見到Asimo，不過許多秘書都要開始擔心會不會工作不保！因為Asimo不會罷工又不會發脾氣，更不會將頭皮屑放在茶杯內。
