奈米科技已經普遍應用在我們的生活上，在汽車工業也將造成許多革命性的影響，美國一所稱為Rice University的大學，日前發表了全球體積最小的….奈米汽車！
Rice 大學的專家研發出的 Nanocar，四奈米長三奈米寬，是的你沒看錯，奈米，一個奈米是一公尺的10個負九次方….
這輛建立在分子上的Nanocar有四個獨立旋轉的軸、內建懸吊系統和超大的輪胎。這輛車可以用來在奈米等級的物體上"拖"行物體，譬如研究員希望用在製造電腦晶片的矽圓上，使得製造過程更精密並降低不良率，這還需要好幾年才能夠實現。而這輛車的四個軸旋轉並不是使用自己的能源，下一步要做的是製造引擎，美國本田汽車已經開始贊助這項計畫。
