雖然本田技研創始人本田宗一郎已經離開人世多年，但繼承者可是依然遵循他的夢想，而正式將領域拓展到藍天的現任社長福井威夫，不僅身負重責大任，更帶領HONDA全體邁向21世紀。
在日本參訪的行程中，HONDA社長福井威夫抽空與亞洲與大洋洲媒體稍做交流，既然有這個機會我必然不會放過，但提問的問題絕對不是車種馬力或技術上問題，而是針對HONDA在未來的發展方針。
根據福井威夫向我透露，HONDA的宗旨相當簡單，就是遵循創始人本田宗一郎的理念，也就是替人類創造更多的夢想，縱使目前為全球第一大機車品牌，汽車也在前十名，發動機也是世界第二把交椅，但這樣的努力依然不夠，並非要拿到世界第一這種虛名，而是要能實際造福人類生活，所以從二輪、四輪到發動機、船舶甚至是最新的飛機，都是希望能帶來最便利的行動力。
當我問到有關HONDA Jet之後的下一步，福井威夫表示HONDA Jet從，，發動機到機體結構完全獨力完成，這代表HONDA已經朝天空的行動領域發展，且能成功在一萬公尺的高空飛行，因為這離太空相當近，搞不好20年後還能朝宇宙發展。當然他也不諱言地說：「HONDA的行動科技不僅拘限在交通工具，像ASIMO就是最好的例子，但ASIMO又能發展出不同類型的福祉技術，因此在這方面HONDA應該是站在領先的地位。」
雖然與福井威夫的訪談時間相當短，但從他的言談中可明顯感受到HONDA的技術力依然是無人能比，相信在本田宗一郎的夢與他的領導下，HONDA，勢必能在行動力科技有所作為，也難怪TOYOTA將它視為最可敬的對手。
