2008北京車展報導：HONDA代工廣州本田自主品牌「理念」2010年量產

車頭掛著「G」廠徽，但造型概念與HONDA非常神似的概念車「理念」，可是廣州本田自主品牌計畫在2010年所推出的新車款，因此在今年北京車展中備受矚目。
於2007年HONDA與中國廣州汽車集團合資成立的廣州本田汽車，投資約20億人民幣（新台幣90億元）成立了100﹪獨資的「GHRD廣州本田汽車研究開發有限公司」，並計畫在2010年販售在地化生產的自主設計新車，如今這款車的雛形已經定案，就是走Crossover風格的概念車「理念」，全數由GHRD所設計和開發，單以目測車身尺碼與軸距來看，「理念」是以Civic底盤平台為基礎，動力上則為直四2.0/2.4升引擎。
不過按照HONDA日本原廠的規劃，新一代Stepwagon上市時間與「理念」不謀而合，猜測廣州本田的「理念」應該就是新Stepwagon的型態，只不過Stepwagon是走類似Minivan路線，而「理念」則是以Crossover為概念，因此視為雙生兄弟車也不為過。
當然「理念」在量產化後頭尾燈組、排氣尾管都將進行重新修飾，未來由廣州本田進行在生產，不過這款車僅針對中國市場所開發，但有沒有可能外銷到其他市場，就看HONDA全球化的策略而定。
