G-CON捍衛人身安全，HONDA21世紀車體必備要素

當2000年第七代Civic問世時，G-CON這個新名詞就隨著出現，但許多人到現在或許還搞不懂這是什麼東西。
正當全球車廠投入提昇確保乘員安全的車體結構工程之際，HONDA便率先引爆降低型人受撞擊時的傷害，這套稱為G-CON（G-Force Control Technology）的技術，從21世紀起便成為HONDA各車款的標準設計，除了能有效提昇汽車安全，保障車室乘員外，亦同時兼顧行人安全。
G-CON是一種由HONDA開發的車體撞擊安全性能新基準，此基準的目的是希望能有效控制車輛撞擊時，所產生的各種撞擊力道，以保障車內乘員的安全，並將受撞擊行人的生命危險降至最低。
基於HONDA的車體安全設計技術完全以人為出發點，G-CON安全車體結構是世界各車廠中，率先完成前方正面撞擊55km/h與前方側面64km/h測試，並獲得相當高的評價。此外，為了降低車輛撞擊人體導致身體上半部與頭部受傷害而死亡，雨刷轉軸饋縮、引擎蓋絞鏈折斷、引擎蓋饋縮力都是今後HONDA車款所具備的基礎能力。
