HONDA Insight，全美最省油車款，TOYOTA Prius緊追在後

高油價來臨，讓全球車主大喊吃不消，各車廠也莫不潛心於省油車款的開發，其中Hybird的成熟度算是目前最高，而HONDA Insight更是全美最省油車款。
雖然TOYOTA Prius賣到嚇嚇叫，但現階段玩Hybrid系統的還有HONDA，結果根據EPA美國環境保護局針對2006年式車款所做的油耗調查，最具經濟性的竟然不是眾所皆知的TOYOTA Prius，而是HONDA Insight，在一般道路中每加侖可行駛60英哩，高速道路為66英哩；而TOYOTA Prius平均油耗為每加侖55英哩。
在前10名當中，除了TOYOTA Corolla是唯一的汽油引擎外，其他均是Hybrid車款，當然也包含FORD Escape Hybrid。至於傳統美式貨卡和跑車，表現都不佳，當然對荷包頻頻縮水的消費者而言，面對油價居高不下的情況，根本對耗油量大的車輛提不起興趣。
