誰是日本超級省油王？HONDA Insight、DAIHATSU Mira分區稱霸

在高油價時代，省油經濟性成為汽車工業一大議題，且眾車廠都在比誰最省油，結果不是TOYOTA Prius，而是HONDA Insight與DAIHATSU Mira。
根據日本國土交通省所公布的當地小型車油耗測試前十名，前三名都是由Hybrid所奪，第一名可不是非常有名的TOYOTA Prius，而是HONDA Insight，以每公升36公里拿下冠軍寶座，TOYOTA Prius以35.5公里的些微差距飲恨居第二，第三名則是HONDA Civic Hybrid，擁有每公升31公里的表現。
第四名開始分別為TOYOTA Vitz、HONDA Fit、TOYOTA Belta、TOYOTA Passo/DAIHATSU Boon、NISSAN March、MITSUBISHI Colt，而且在這前十名中，搭載CVT變速系統的就多達六款，可見油耗與變速系統有非常大關係。
另外在輕型車部分，DAIHATSU Mira則以30.5每公升公里居榜首，第二名的DAIHATSU Esse創下26.0公里的成績，第三名則是SUZUKI Alto，其他如SUBARU R1/R2、MITSUBISHI Minica、SUZUKI Wagon R等，也都進入前十名榜內。
