2001年當HONDA推出Fit時，不僅在市場上造成轟動，更讓對手驚覺本田技研的厲害，也因此下一代Fit必須傳承現行款的實力，要繼續熱賣下去。
將於2007年八月在日本發表的新一代Fit，可算是TOYOTA Yaris的最大天敵，然而在競爭激烈的日本市場，還有MITSUBISHI Colt、NISSAN March、SUZUKI Swift等車款分食，所以在問世後勢必會引爆另一番激戰，因此HONDA高層下達命令，要新Fit只能成功的指示，這下可讓所有行銷人員繃緊了皮，怎麼樣也要將Fit拱上冠軍寶座。
根據AutoNet瞭解，新Fit的底盤可是重新設計，不僅為了符合歐洲消費者需求，更為了和歐系掀背車一較高下，因此在操控性和舒適性將會取得平衡；內部空間也會隨著軸距增加而更寬敞。而動力上….當然就是省油又會跑。
至於新Fit長什麼德行？或許能從歐規Civic嗅出一二吧！不過可別太興奮，絕對沒那麼殺！
