歡慶曼島TT賽事百年紀念！HONDA將舉辦慶祝活動！

HONDA CBR1000RR即HONDA 的Moto GP賽事名駒RC211V的市售應用版本。

舉世聞名的摩托車界賽事─英國曼島TT賽事已經100歲囉！身為當今曼島TT賽事霸主的HONDA除了今年派出John McGuinness、Ian Hutchinson、Dave Molyneux，以及Rick Long…等人，分別以HONDA CBR1000RR與CBR600RR兩款當家重機持續參與賽事之外，更會在6月3日舉辦一場HONDA Day的活動，以歡慶這個特別的一刻。

ASIMO機器人是HONDA當今引以為傲的可科技之ㄧ。

曼島是位於英國與愛爾蘭之間，在愛爾蘭海上的一座小島，著名的曼島TT(TT即Tourist Trophy的簡寫)賽事即在此舉辦，賽事起源則從1904年開始，但最著名的摩托車賽事則從1907年5月28日開催，至今剛好滿100周年。曼島雖然周長約百來公里而已，但一圈超過60公里以上的單圈距離，再加上約400公尺的高低差、難纏的路況，以及多變的氣候之下，雖然有不少車身在此身亡，但卻是各個摩扥車車手及機車廠證明自己能耐的最佳試鍊場地。

而身為當今曼島TT賽事霸主的HONDA，自1959年第一次進軍曼島TT賽事並拿下團體獎以來，在這48年的歲月中，HONDA拿下曼島TT賽事大小各類組別共130次的冠軍，不僅是項驚人的紀錄，John McGuinness在去年曼島賽事，以HONDA CBR1000RR創下208.3km/h的圈速紀錄，更是眾人公認難以刷新的新屏障！而今除了HONDA今年持續參與曼島TT賽事並挑戰高峰之外，為了歡慶曼島TT賽事百年紀念，HONDA也將在6月3日舉辦HONDA Day的慶祝活動，活動上除了有一般的賽事表演活動和演場會之外，這次HONDA更請出他們引以為傲的當家機器人─ASIMO進行表演活動，並與曼島當地學童一同同樂，以慶祝這特別的一刻。

目前本屆曼島TT賽事已從5月26日的練習賽起正式開催，正式決賽將會於6月2日登場，並依組別賽程持續舉辦到6月8日為止。希望HONDA在這次賽事能繼續有好表現，並持續創造新的曼島障礙。
