    一魚兩吃!HONDA新技術VCM系統08年量產化

自從環保法規越來越嚴苛,強調短跑衝刺的二行程機車已經完全絕種,但對於熱愛速度的騎士而言,二行程更可提供四行程引擎所沒有的樂趣,有鑑於此,日本HONDA正在開發全新系統,能同時擁有二行程的爆發力和四行程的平順度。

由HONDA所自行開發的VCM(Variable Cylinder Management)可變汽缸管理系統,不僅能獲得更為節省的燃油表現,且還能讓機車同時擁有二行程的衝刺爆發力,和四行程引擎順度加速的快感,也就是說一輛機車能具備二行程和四行程引擎的特性。其實HONDA之所以開發VCM系統,主要是為了滿足機車騎士的需求,基於受到新環保法規的約束,二行程早已消失,縱使對環保有殺傷力,但對騎士來說樂趣遠超過四行程機車。

所以HONDA就將運用在四輪乘用車上的技術,轉移到二輪機車的動力系統上。根據HONDA表示,VCM系統在低負重情況下進排氣氣門與燃料噴射系統處於休息狀態,可讓油耗表現更好;而在低轉速時則擁有類似二行程引擎的爆發力,當加速起步時絕對更優於四行程引擎,而高轉速時又獲得四行程引擎的平順基因,這可說是在強調油耗經濟性的同時,得以提供更多樂趣給機車騎士們。

當然這項新技術也將隨著東京車展的到來,在HONDA二輪機車展區現身,至於正式運用在量產機車上的時間,估計最快在2008年中以後。
