    HONDA車體安全有保障,Accord、CR-V對撞門可開!

要如何針對車輛安全進行檢驗?最簡單的方法就是撞撞看,像AutoNet參訪本田技術研究中心時,HONDA就當著媒體面前表演一場撞擊秀,主角則是在台灣賣到翻的CR-V,與即將導入國產化的第八代Accord。

G-CON車體可是HONDA最引以為傲的安全技術基準,這也是HONDA全車系的標準配置,不過為了因應21世紀對安全的需求,HONDA又發展出一套名為Ace G-CON的結構,這種新結構不僅能有降低受撞擊時車體變形,更能提升車艙完整度,並在SRS氣囊都防護下,讓車室乘員的生命獲得最佳保障,而這種新技術,則率先採用在新Accord上,也就是2008年第二季導入國產化的第八代Accord。原廠為了讓我們更瞭解G-CON和Ace G-CON的優點,特別安排一場別開生面的撞擊秀-新Accord與CR-V的對撞。

測試工程師以50﹪比例的前方撞擊為設定值,車頭為中心為撞擊目標點,兩車分別以車頭左右兩側撞擊中心點,一陣沈寂後控制中心開始倒數計時,隨後新Accord與CR-V分由兩邊以時速60km/h速度逐漸接近對方,接下來一聲巨大的撞擊聲響,SRS氣囊跟著引爆,待煙霧散去後發現車身零件、殘骸散落一地,這時工作人員先將地板擦拭乾淨,便放行讓媒體看看這一撞的結果。

兩輛車前方的氣囊啟動爆開,A柱以後的結構沒有變形,但新Accord的外玻璃上卻有撞擊痕,原來這是車頭受到撞擊時引擎蓋上彈所致,這下我可擔心裡頭的假人Dummy(HONDA自行開發的Polar II),不知頭部是否受到傷害。輕易地打開車門,Dummy依然完好無缺被固定在座椅上,且經過觀察腿部未變形,這可以證明在60km/h的撞擊下,CR-V與Accord的車體和安全都能防護乘員,讓生命受到最佳尊重。

其實HONDA的撞擊測試,證明這家車廠不僅著重在動力的操控樂趣,更尊重生命,尤其面對車輛性能不斷提升,要如何保障乘員安全就成為相當重要的研發方向。
