HONDA先進車輛安全進入第四期，ASV-4展開道路測試

由日本政府所推動的先進車輛安全ASV（Advanced Safety Vehicle）計畫，目前已經發展到第四期，而隨著電腦通訊技術的進步，名為ASV-4的計畫重點在於車輛間的通訊溝通，當然HONDA也致力於這方面的技術研發。

然而各車廠卻都有獨門秘方，要進行整合恐怕沒那麼簡單，因此日本UTMS（Universal Traffic Management Society of Japan）新交通管理系統協會就出面進行整合，以讓所有車廠照著統一規格化研發。而HONDA為了因應ASV-4計畫，遂以DSSS（Driving Safety Support Systems）為中心，將相關系統裝置在二輪機車與四輪汽車上，繼2005年的ASV-3後，2008年的ASV-4計畫HONDA採用Odyssey與Forza兩款產品，以進行一般道路測試。

貼有「ASV-4」與「Tochigi DSSS」彩繪的HONDA Odyssey與Forza，從3月24日到28日間在日本栃木縣宇都宮市一般道路進行測試，延續去年所開發的車輛間通訊系統，並結合先前所獲得的數據，這次HONDA的ASV-4測試車輛比過去更為聰明，能藉由電波與無線傳輸功能瞭解其他車輛的動向，來降低不必要的車禍發生。

目前除了HONDA，MITSUBISHI、MAZDA、NISSAN、TOYOTA等也都提出對應方案，當然系統上是以UTMS新交通管理系統協會為基準，因此在IT成功整合與統一規格化，並在日本政府的全力支援下，估計在5到10年內即可融入日常生活中。至於台灣有沒有可能？如果政治問題可以解決，政客不再爭權奪利的話當可實現，但這有可能嗎？
