就是衝著TOYOTA Prius來，HONDA Hybrid專用車確定日幣200萬圓有找

先前曾報導有關HONDA Hybrid計畫，如今AutoNet獲得獨家且珍貴的訊息，那就是HONDA要讓TOYOTA Prius好看，也要出輛Hybrid專用車，價格上比起Prius還要便宜！
基於國際原油價格不斷飆漲，再加上地球暖化問題讓各國對於京都議定書的重視（除了世界兩大污染源美國與中國不斷抵制），在新世代節能環保車與真正替代能源尚未誕生前，Hybrid油電混合動力依然是最有效的解決方案，除了TOYOTA已居於領先地位，HONDA也開始急起直追，預計在2009年左右將推出Hybrid專用車。
根據AutoNet了解，Hybrid專用車將採用全新打造的底盤平台，軸距可達2500mm，造型上為五門掀背，整體與TOYOTA Prius非常神似，但新世代六角水箱護罩將是最大特徵。系統上搭載與Civic Hybrid相同的動力，也就是1.3升三階段i-VTEC引擎與電動馬達組合的IMA系統，搭配CVT無段變速系統後可創造平均油耗30km/l的成績 。雖然比起TOYOTA新Prius的40km/l少了10km/l，不過HONDA卻打出日幣200萬圓以內的售價策略，約合新台幣66萬元，單這點就比Prius吸引人。
一旦HONDA Hybrid專用車能成功吸引消費者，必然會讓TOYOTA Prius感受到壓力，因為左算右算買HONDA還是划得來。
