    HONDA墨西哥新CVT廠正式破土,年產能70萬具供應新需求

甫於2013年初針對美國、墨西哥、日本、泰國生產基地進行大動作「綠能化」設備翻新的HONDA,於5月份宣布將在Celaya投資興建新CVT變速箱生產廠後,如今在日前終於正式破土動工,預計2015年下半年總產能為35萬具,2016年起總年產能可達70萬具,爾後結合美國廠的產能下,預計2017年開始光北美地區就可生產200萬具的CVT。後而這將會是HONDA在北美所投資設立的第三座變速箱生產工廠。

隸屬於HONDA墨西哥分公司、專事生產銷售的HDM(Honda de Mexico, S.A. de C.V.),是HONDA於北美地區非常重要的單位,尤其對中南美洲的經營以及供應北美市場需求,具有無可取代的地位。根據了解,這個新廠將於2014年第一季生產Fit,同時於2015年下半年起開始生產CVT變速箱,該年度的年產能為35萬具,爾後在全面運作後將擁有70萬具的年產規模。當然在Celaya廠生產的CVT,除了供應墨西哥廠所製造的車款,也將提供給其他市場使用。

變速箱產能滿載將有1500名員工的Celaya廠,結合生產四輪乘用車的作業員後,總計在當地將有4700名員工,基本上也替周遭地區創造不少就業機會。目前HONDA在北美所生產的變速箱為137.5萬具,都是來自美國俄亥俄州與喬治亞州,2016年起在墨西哥廠正式運作後將可達170萬具,當墨西哥新廠動能全開(預計2017年之後)時,總計將可達200萬具的年產規模。

基本上以目前HONDA的新策略來看,CVT絕對是環保節能的首選,同時也以獨門技術改良傳統CVT的缺點,以更貼近消費者習慣的科技帶來嶄新駕馭樂趣。也因此推測未來CVT出現在HONDA車款的比例會大幅增加。
