飛上藍天之夢即將實現，第一架量產版HONDA Jet已屆完裝下線交機之時

身為車壇知名日系品牌之一的HONDA，其創始人本田宗一郎就是因為勇於做夢，才造就了HONDA這個品牌，從二輪領域起家後，一路到四輪領域，接下來更邁向機器人開發，最後則是以HONDA Jet宣告進入航空領域，而HONDA Jet在經過幾年來多方密集的測試之後，在先前進路了量產之路，如今第一架量產版HONDA Jet也按照原廠設定的期程，即將在近日完裝下線。

現階段HONDA的生產線上已經有六架HONDA Jet在進行組裝的動作，而HONDA也表示，為了HONDA Jet得上市動作，更加生產線工作人員提升到兩倍，另外在美國的Greensboro地區，則是開設了全新的客戶服務設施，而這個設施是以HONDA Aircraft Company在Piedmont Triad航空科技園區的總部為基礎進行拓展。

擁有5.43×1.52×1.51m機艙、12.99×12.12×4.56m尺碼的HONDA Jet擁有6名乘客的標準配置，是HONDA自行開發設計的短程商務噴射客機，最大航程為2185km，在13106m高空中的巡航速度為778km/h，在OTWEM（Over the Wing Engine Mount）的技術架構之下，透過將引擎置於主翼上方，並和機體緊密連結，如此一來降低風阻，並創造出更好的速度和燃油經濟性，比起同級機型的400海浬(約740km/h)表現更好，油耗更節省30%，售價為450萬美元。

而在其生產基地當中，HONDA全面採用攜帶型IT管理系統，機體塗裝也均具有標準化模式，此外，組裝廠區內更有一套最佳化流程，將組裝、搬運物流等時間減至最短，無須將時間浪費在不必要的步驟上。已獲得美國聯邦航空署和歐洲航空安全局機型認可的HONDA Jet，除了進行測試飛行外，更通過終極載重、乘客座撞擊、鳥類玻璃撞擊、著冰、夜間飛行等嚴苛測試，2012年10月更在亞利桑那州的高溫環境下，進行燃料系統、複合材質機身耐高熱、發動機系統冷卻等測試，並獲得相當優異成績，這證明HONDA除了會製造汽機車，飛機的功力也相當了得。
