小型車利潤已不足，HONDA宣布Fit將退出美國市場

2020年式車型的推出結束之時，也將是HONDA Fit退出美國市場的時候，而在未來，與Fit搭載相同平台的HR-V跨界休旅、還有掀背車款Civic，則將會替代Fit，在美國市場成為品牌入門車款。
Fit一開始是在2006年，以2007年式車型款導入美國市場，從一開始，Fit就因出色的車內空間利用而備受讚譽，車型所採用的中置引擎與後懸吊系統等等設計，都是消費者接受度高的特色，另外，車款也能夠提供低離地間隙，後排座椅可摺疊、空間運用彈性高，也顯示出車款的多功能特性，動力系統則搭載馬力110匹的1.5升直列四缸引擎；至於價格方面，最一開始銷售的2007年式Fit售價當時定為14,400美金（約台幣42.4萬）。
第二代車型則於2009年推出，同樣採用1.5升引擎，不過馬力提升到了118匹，並且提供五速手動以及五速自動變速箱可選擇，起跳價格則增加至15,220美金（約台幣44.9萬），油耗效率最高為每公升15公里左右；另外，2013年還有一款續航力132公里的電動車型，但僅在油耗規定較為嚴格的美國加州地區，且僅以租賃方式推出。
至於第三代車型，則為2015年式車型，經過重新設計過後的第三代車型，在空間利用方面效率又更高，總長度減少了40 mm，但後排乘客空間卻增加了121 mm；最新Fit上面，搭載的是1.5升直列四缸引擎搭配CVT無段自動變速箱，油耗效率也增加至最高每公升約17公里；最後，2020年式車型則將繼續保留提供六速手動變速箱，價格範圍則為17,120美金（約台幣50.5萬）至21,550美金（約台幣63.5萬）不等。
另外，早在2016年，車廠就統計，Fit這款小型車的銷售在多年來都處於低迷的狀態，甚至讓車廠在2020年款的LX與Sport版本車型上面放棄了Honda Sensing主動安全功能；而在2019年東京車展上所發表的混合油電、且經重新設計改款的第四代Fit，則已確定不會在美國上市。
