    HONDA Fit進駐巴西!台灣還要等多久?!

繼Civic之後,HONDA宣稱將在巴西生產並販售Fit車款。本田汽車在巴西設廠可說是很不容易,雖然早在1970年代HONDA就已經開始在巴西生產摩托車,從1992年起才開始販賣汽車,並於1996年設立工廠,花了25年才在巴西建立起汽車組裝工廠﹔從1997年起每年約生產15,000輛Civic,今年將投入生產行列的Fit是HONDA在2002年聖保羅車展所展示的車型,是HONDA Fit的第二型車款,並會在4月22日投入市場,預計第一年的營業目標為25,000輛。

Fit挾著2001年日本年度風雲車以及2002年日本銷售冠軍寶座的氣勢,進入了2003年,現在Fit可說廣為大眾所歡迎,即使是海外市場也一樣受歡迎,共外銷了六十餘國。Fit之所以這麼有吸引力,關鍵是在於HONDA新開發的全球小型底盤平台(Global Small Platform) ,這種設計能使油箱的擺置不影響到空間的機能,提供更多的座艙空間以及座椅的變化,同時能兼顧安全性與經濟性,而底盤的操控也維持了一定的水準,並未減少其駕駛樂趣。

巴西將是繼日本之後第二個生產Fit的地區,即使巴西的經濟狀況及政局都不是很穩定,為了搶奪小型車的市場,本田還是在巴西共投資了一億五千萬美元擴建廠房,將產能由每年30,000輛提升到每年50,000輛,員工也增加了25%約1,000人,巴西廠房並將自行生產供應70%以上的零組件。相對於泰國本田將目標放在歐亞市場,巴西本田則將目標鎖定南美市場,未來將輸出到阿根廷、波利維亞、祕魯、烏拉圭、巴拉圭及其他南美國家,由此也可看出本田全球佈局的版圖野心。
