日本HONDA為了進軍超級跑車市場，於1990年所推出的輕量化跑車NSX，歷經15年的時光後，決定在2005年12月全面停產！
打從問世開始，NSX幾乎就和HONDA的科技劃上等號，因為原廠將所有最先進技術全加諸於一身，尤其是採用全世界首創全鋁合金車體結構，再加上中置引擎與輕量化的結果，讓NSX擁有足以和PORSCHE、FERRARI等超級跑車一較高下的條件，並讓日本車廠揚眉吐氣。可惜經過長達15年的歲月，雖然當中也有小改款和敞篷車型的問世，卻難敵歐洲跑車陸續換血的速度；當然整個消費市場結構改變也是一大主因，也使得HONDA不得不放棄這塊神主牌。
從問世至今共銷售18000輛的NSX，九月份外銷至歐陸的將先停產，隨後是12月的美國仕樣，看來最後一個幸運兒應該會出現在北美地區。
此外，HONDA當然未放棄超級跑車的開發計畫，據了解目前正積極研發下一代車型，最快可在今年東京車展中見到先行量產車，至於何時進入銷售，原廠還是三緘其口。推測2006年春季的日內瓦車展中新車型將會問世，否則就得等到巴黎車展囉！
