HONDA旗下最具崇高地位的NSX，在1990上市後，集當時科技於一身與輕量化的鋁合金車架，是日本唯一可與FERRARI、PORSCHE等純種跑車廠相抗衡的超級跑車，2005年七月NSX正式停產，大家開始關注下一代NSX何時會登場？答案是2008年！
身為日本頂級跑車的NSX，停產前是日本唯一售價超過千萬日圓的日製跑車，在2005年NSX停產時，HONDA即表示新一代的NSX預計在三至四年間問世；而根據最新的消息指出，新一代NSX預計於2008年隨著ACURA登入日本，以ACURA最高等級車款的身分於日本上市。
全新的NSX已確定搭載導入F-1科技之V10引擎，外型上將以HONDA於2003年東京車展中現身之HSC為基礎。
若NSX以ACURA品牌於日本銷售，將與掛上INFINITI品牌的下一代GT-R，與LEXUS預計推出的LEXUS LF-A正面對抗，屆時將形成三強鼎立的局面。
