HONDA聯手TOSHIBA用電動車打造無污染城市交通！

日本電器大廠TOSHIB日前宣佈，將與日本當地宮古島市及HONDA汽車一起合作，共同推動名為小型電動車的交通試營運專案，讓宮古島市的島嶼交通環境能夠獲得最無污染的改善方式，並且藉由此一營運計畫收集電動車實際運作的相關資訊，包括在島內的移動交通紀錄以及充電裝置的使用與營運管理等。
屆時TOSHIBA將在宮古島市內設置配備太陽能電池板與電池系統的充電站，目前暫訂設置的地點分別為下地官署、城邊官署和伊良部官署等三處。而HONDA則預計投入在2013年東京車展中曾經亮相的mc-β（micro commuter prototypeβ）迷你型電動車進行營運。

這款電動車採前後雙座的車艙設計，重量僅有400kg且採純電能作為行駛動力，車身僅有2495×1280×1545mm的尺碼且迴轉半徑更只有3.3m而已，十分適合擁擠的狹小巷弄中行走，動力搭載定速8.1hp、瞬間最大15.0hp的馬達，極速為70km/h以上，續航力約80km，而且也能夠彈性的使用100V或200V的電源進行充電，以100V充電可在7小時完成，如是200V則3小時內就可充飽。

而且此一計畫的實施還不僅僅只是作為電動車使用環境的評估，同時也對於整體環境有著進行強化改善的具體構想與措施，例如TOSHIBA便打算藉由充電站的設置，將高效能太陽能電池板和與作為多餘電能儲存的「SCiB」鋰離子電池及家用蓄電系統「enegoon」來改善宮古島市經常因為颱風襲擾而出現的停電現象，係望能夠藉由成功的運作試驗，讓高容量蓄電池能夠普及為普通家庭建物，都能夠擁有的緊急備用能源。對於這樣的試營運計畫，目前TOSHIBA、HONDA以及當地政府都已經簽署了相關的合作備忘錄。
