撞擊測試一只是交通主管機關對於車輛上市之前都會執行的安全把關程序,儘管近年來撞擊測驗的評分標準可說是越趨嚴格,但其實隨著電子安全科技的同步提升,通過測驗、達到安全規範標準的比例也是逐漸提高,其中作為安全最根本的車體結構剛性,更是在此扮演舉足輕重的角色。

而由HONDA所開發的G-CON ACE車體,更是撞擊安全性的新基準,能有效控制車輛撞擊時所產生的各種撞擊應力,以保障車內乘客的安全,及兼顧路上行人的安全性。

全名為G-Force Control Technology,透過電子科技以降低車內駕駛、乘客或是行人在遭遇撞擊時可能感受到的G-Force力道,同時透過車輛的車體結構、輔助氣囊、安全帶系統等減緩撞擊力道所導致的受傷程度;而新一代ACE(Advanced Compatibility Engineering先進相容性工程)車體也是相當重要,確保旗下所有車型在車身結構上都能擁有相同的撞擊受力程度,以讓G-CON安全車體技術能夠發揮最大效益。

HONDA的車體安全設計技術,完全以「人」為基本出發點。所以在撞擊安全上也是相當堅持,以達到「降低乘客傷害與最小車體變形」的最高標準,在G-CON的安全設計基準之下,讓車輛能夠在有限的車體變形之下,將車內乘客的傷害降到最低的程度,不但能夠滿足前方正面撞擊時,有效吸收撞擊力量,降低乘客的受傷程度,還能夠讓車室保有高度完整的〝生存空間〞。

G-CON安全車體的另一個特色就是可以降低撞擊對於行人的傷害程度。HONDA透過實驗分析車輛撞擊行人的作動過程發現:當車輛撞擊行人時,往往是因為身體上半部與頭部所造成的傷害,導致行人重傷或死亡。

因此,G-CON安全基準採取了雨刷轉軸下滑落的饋縮式設計、引擎蓋「鉸鏈」採用可折斷式的設計來降低行人的傷害。透過「雨刷轉軸饋縮」與「引擎蓋鉸鏈折斷」地共同作動,不但可以吸收部分撞擊力量,讓行人的反作用力降低;還可以因此而使引擎蓋得以滑動,進一步吸收撞擊力量,充分降低對行人的傷害。
