東風本田正式成立 中國明年生產HONDA CR-V

即日起，中國大陸又多了一家新車廠，也就是本田與東風合資成立的「東風本田汽車（武漢）有限公司」。由於廣州本田的產能不足，不久前日本HONDA本田汽車尋求與東風汽車在中國展開合作，本田還將委託東風汽車生產HONDA產品，以穩固本田在中國市場的地位。而這個合作案已經在前天由本田與東風汽車正式簽約，成立「東風本田（武漢）汽車」，並將於2004年開始投產CR-V休旅車。
東風公司與本田公司通過改組，將位於湖北省武漢市已有的中外合資整車生產企業“武漢萬通汽車有限公司”改組籌建為“東風本田汽車（武漢）有限公司”，並將對東風公司屬下的原有工廠（武漢萬通汽車）改造後，投產本田的車型。該工廠起步產品擬定生產小型SUV類的“CR-V”運動休旅車，將於2004年上半年開始批量生產，規劃年產量3萬台。東風汽車公司與本田公司這項合作案，將開展HONDA本田在中國生產整車的合作新事業。
不過，根據了解，東風公司與本田公司其實已有十年的合作歷史，合作初期雙方就確定了按照“零部件、發動機、整車”三階段發展的基本設想，1994年雙方在廣東省惠州市設立了“東風本田零部件有限公司”，生產轎車零部件；1998年作為廣州轎車專案的組成部分，雙方設立了“東風本田發動機有限公司”，生產Accord雅閣和Odyssey奧德賽車用引擎。在完成了零部件和引擎方面的合作後，雙方通過改組改造武漢萬通汽車有限公司，開始整車階段的合作。
而由於七代Accord雅閣的大賣，使得本田進一步向東風公司汽車取得整車生產的合作關係，以應對中國汽車市場的增長和市場需求的多樣化。“東風本田汽車（武漢）有限公司”是本田認購原“武漢萬通汽車有限公司”50%的股權方式建立的。今後為將於2004年開始的批量生產對現有工廠擁有的設備進行改造、擴充等籌備工作。改造工程包括焊裝、塗裝、總裝和整車檢測等，新增投資總計大約4400萬美元，投產時員工人數達到600名左右。
