就在AUTONET陸續為大家介紹HONDA Civic日規與歐規的小改款之後，緊接著原廠也推出了北美地區Civic的小改款版本。Civic在北美地區的房車市場是最暢銷的的幾個車款之一，這次的改款包含了四門與雙門車型，二者的造型雖類似，但風格卻不同。
在這次的改款，不論是四門或雙門車款，在外觀上包含前後保險桿，頭尾燈組，引擎蓋，水箱護罩都做了更動，看起來更具動感的線條，而雙門車款由於車子本身設定就更為運動化，因此線條也更為銳利，同時新增15吋鋁圈為標準配備，另外也新增了鎂金屬色車身與灰色內裝，雙門車款還多了珍珠藍的車色選擇。
美國HONDA原廠還將音響系統升級，提供乘客更好的娛樂享受，並且在門板內增加吸音材質，減少車室內的噪音干擾﹔除此之外，二者在頂級車款上，都將免匙系統列為標準配備。在動力上則維持不變，消費者可選擇五速手排或是CVT無段自排系統。
另外預計在2004年導入的瓦斯車型Civic GX，也將以與2004年式的四門車型相同的外觀出現在大家面前，並且在配備上將向頂級車車型看齊。
