2004年HONDA Civic Type-R英國正式現身

200hp馬力、輕量化車身、內蘊殺氣又帶著神秘感的套件設計，加上輸出強勁卻省油得要命的i-VTEC引擎，這就是一堆車迷想要卻得不到的HONDA Civic Type-R！現在，2004年Civic Type-R在英國正式推出定裝版，並且將在今年五月推出另一款五門運動車款。！
HONDA本田英國分公司日前正式推出歐陸鋼砲殺手Civic Type-R 2004年式樣版，希望搶在VOLKSWAGEN五代Golf之前，佔據現行歐洲掀背鋼砲的市場先機。2004年式樣的Civic Type-R在外觀上仍然謹守「殺氣不外露」的原則，最吸引人之處，仍然是其200hp強勁馬力與0到100公里靜止加速只需6.6秒的實力。
跟隨著2004年Civic車系的改款動作，Civic Type-R 2004車頭燈組與水箱護罩都有細部的修正，兩側後視鏡也跟隨Accord的腳步增加了轉向輔助方向燈；而雖然在外觀上反而有更趨保守的感覺，但被稱為「飛輪」（flywheel）的Civic Type-R，其一貫黑紅相間的戰鬥內裝則被完整保留延續下來，金屬環狀儀表、飾板和黑紅桶型座椅的搭配，相信已經無須再贅述了。
至於性能方面，歐規Civic Type-R 2004仍然搭載2.0升DOHC i-VTEC引擎，可輸出最大馬力200hp，搭配六前速手排變速箱，0到100公里加速可在6.6秒內完成；另外，輪胎採用17吋鋁圈與205/45 R17尺碼跑車胎，ABS防鎖死煞車與EBD煞車力道分配系統都是標準配置。售價為1萬六千歐元左右（約合新台幣88萬元）。
而另一項值得注意的消息是，英國本田將自今年五月起，提供一款五門版本的Civic Type-S VSA，搭配16吋鋁圈與大型煞車碟和短行程排檔機制，售價與性能數據也較低，目的是讓英國Civic車系增加另一款運動風格的產品。
