次世代Accord即將在今年12月正式登場，論車型、動力、底盤都有卓越的設計，然而深受歐洲人喜愛的五門旅行車，則隨著新世代車款誕生而消失。
在歷代Acoord中，即將問世的第八代車型在尺寸上絕對居冠，因為底盤結構上沿用現行款Legend的平台，所以尺碼將向上探至4900×1840×1460mm左右，動力上除了標準的直四2.4升外，將採行頂級3.5升V6達300hp馬力配置，且還有一說則會推出性能版，也就是與ACURA MDX共用的直四2.3升240ho渦輪增壓引擎，然而這樣的機械結構似乎不會再出現於五門旅行車上。
因為HONDA決定要將Accord Wagon從產品線中剔除，理由是旅行車在Accord車系裡算是小眾，目前原廠的當急之務就是擴充市場佔有率。
其實對許多人來說，Accord Wagon的造型遠比四門房車來得搶眼，但是在主戰場北美地區而言，Accord的雙門和四門在銷售上遠超過旅行車，且旅行車很容易被SUV取代，為了成本上考量，縱使長得漂亮，操控性與配重比四門房車好，但HONDA也必須割愛。
