    次世代內燃機預備,HONDA HCCI新燃燒系統進行實測

每次能源危機,HONDA總是會推出因應相關對策,如1970年代的CVCC稀薄燃燒,1980年代著重高性能與經濟性的的VTEC可變氣門,如今為了下一世代的內燃發動機,最新的HCCI同源增壓點火系統已進入實驗階段。

所謂HCCI(Homogenous-Charge Compression-Ignition),就是同源增壓點火燃燒技術,單就機械結構上來說,將空氣和燃油在活塞中巧妙地混合以達平衡狀態,並藉由活塞直接壓縮以點燃混合物,基本上與過程柴油引擎比較相似。這可是HONDA挑戰TOYOTA Hybrid的第二項科技,雖然HONDA也具備Hybrid技術,但依然難敵TOYOTA Prius的攻勢,造成HONDA Civic Hybrid銷售不彰,因此HONDA將替Civic Hybrid裝置HCCI系統,讓油耗表現能提升至每加侖65英哩,約每公升27.7公里左右,如此一來便有著更高的競爭力與Prius較量較量。

其實HONDA發展HCCI系統已有多年時間,且不少車廠早在1970年代便投入研發,但一直以來卻受到材質與科技無法突破,尤其在自燃時機仍難以克服,所以當HONDA開發這項技術後早在汽車領域廣為流傳,認為HONDA即將成功。據可靠消息指出,這種新技術離正式量產可能還需1-2年時間,但HONDA有可能在2008年先行展示Prototype,本體當然是直列四缸引擎,猜測最有可能亮相時間為2008年的日內瓦車展,正式量產化則在2008/9年左右。

然而這種HCCI系統要價成本可不便宜,倘若加裝在現行車款中,少說要多上美金3-4000元左右,也就是新台幣9.6-12萬元不等,然而若能降低燃油約40-50﹪,這樣的價差不用一年就可回本,其實對車主來說是一大利多,當然現在就等這項新技術問世量產,接下來受惠的仍是市場大眾。
