2008 HONDA Civic GX
GX雖然是Civic車系中最慢也是最小行李箱空間的車款，而且價格非常高昂，您或許會想這有什麼希罕，這麼貴不買就是了，不過這款售價達兩萬五仟美金的Civic GX是美國能源局EPA測試過最具綠色環保性能的可購買房車，全美國也僅有紐約或是加州兩地銷售而已。
GX使用壓縮的天然氣，美國當地約是汽油的2/3價格，如果你買了可以自己儲存天然氣的專用桶再接上家用天然氣轉接裝置補充，依據聯邦稅法的優惠，價格又會更便宜。使用家用天然氣的計算方式搭配EPA的測試規則，每1.47美元可以跑25英哩(40公里)。比起著名的黃金省油車Prius的1.91美金跑25英哩還要更勝一籌。
天然氣的能源密度當然比汽油低，但是Civic GX還是能發揮出高速公路36mpg(編按1美製mpg=0.423km/l，換算約等於15.228km/l)，當然加速算是遲緩一族。馬力大概等於1.8升引擎約在140ps~113ps之間，扭力大概只有15kgm，不過巨大的儲氣桶佔去行李箱一半的空間，管路線材又增加200磅重量。
雖然Civic GX提供了另外一種綠色能源的方案，但是車價幾乎與Prius相同，相較得到的答案只有排放更少的污染，選購全新的瓦斯能源車能增加妳的環保社會地位(特別是在加州)，也更遠離Prius依舊還在燃燒汽油的與綠色環保觀念衝突的窘境。
