HONDA新小型車鎖定泰國、印度，年銷售10萬輛為目標

2010德里車展的New Small Concept

在2010年初印度德里車展中，HONDA推出一款名為「New Small Concept」的概念車，現在已確定將在2011年進行量產化，並在印度與泰國進行生產銷售，同時HONDA推測未來市場會有一波小型化、節能化的趨勢，故第一年的銷售目標訂為10萬輛。

2010德里車展的New Small Concept

以屬於B級距Fit底盤平台為基礎創造的「New Small Concept」，是HONDA為了強化印度與泰國兩大市場所開發的五門掀背A級距小型車，比起Fit可是小了一號，約莫是日本輕型車大小，雖然詳細規格原廠尚未公布，僅知道動力心臟為一具1.0L引擎，平均油耗為25.0km/L，售價壓在50萬盧比以內，也就是新台幣34.9萬元，以國民所得逐步提高的印度消費者來說，應該可以滿足小家庭需求，日前HONDA更針對這款新級距小型車做出量產計畫說明。
根據HONDA亞洲太平洋洲本部長池史彥接受日本媒體採訪時表示，這款被稱為「Global under Fit」的A級距小型車在開發之際就以符合歐洲嚴苛法規為前提，由於是以泰國和印度為主，因此車型上將採用五門掀背設計，倘若歐洲市場有需求，亦可輕易改成三門掀背。當然在降低成本方面，「Global under Fit」將有至少80﹪的零件在當地生產。
至於「Global under Fit」在HONDA的計畫中有何重要性？除了能向下紮根擴大市場佔有率，並可和來勢洶洶的韓國HYUNDAI抗衡。
