HONDA創辦人本田宗一郎為何花日幣1億圓辦兩天活動？

現在日本大企業新鮮人一般月薪為日幣20萬圓，約合新台幣7.5萬元，在1960年代新人月薪僅有日幣1萬圓左右，然而HONDA創辦人本田宗一郎在將近半個世紀前居然肯花日幣1億圓讓8000名員工遊樂，這樣的魄力可算是空前絕後，但他到底是怎麼花這筆錢？
Sports S500/600在日本一上市就造成轟動，贏得許多賽車比賽是最佳宣傳活動，當然還有一群在幕後想點子行銷的員工，而在組裝線與研究所內的所有人，更是為了HONDA這個大家庭而努力，這些熱情本田宗一郎全看在眼裡，為了回饋員工的辛勞與努力，他總是有令人意想不到的驚喜，甚至可以放下身段與員工同樂，這樣的情況在當今企業家很難找得到第二個。
1963年本田宗一郎為了慶祝創立15週年及四輪車開始生產，遂包下整個京都，讓所有員工在這個千年古都狂歡兩天，同時他發放本田金券（類似遊樂券），無論是唱歌、看電影喝咖啡還是吃飯，通通由本田宗一郎買單，此外還請來當時的巨星三波春夫等登台演出，並包下京都、彌生、岡崎等國際級飯店給員工住，就連市區內的公車也包下來，讓所有員工盡情狂歡。第二天則在京都市體育館舉行排球比賽，結果這次的活動讓HONDA上下更懷感念心情，繼續替本田宗一郎所創立的HONDA打拼。
看來本田宗一郎這招還真的奏效，放眼現在的企業主鮮少有這樣的魄力，看在薪水微薄又必須做牛做馬的小員工眼裡，老闆幾乎都是吸血鬼！
