Legend、Inspire相繼停產！HONDA有意以全新小型房車及迷你車填補產能？

AutoNet汽車日報先前曾經報導，由於日幣匯率導致價格高昂、同時強力競爭對手輩出，讓HONDA決定將在日本市場停產旗下高級房車Legend，至於全新第五代Legend則將改往美國俄亥俄州工廠生產。最近根據日本共同通訊社報導，除了Legend之外，HONDA還將同時停產旗艦車款Inspire，目前兩款高級房車都是在日本琦玉工廠製造，空出的產能則預計將會用以製造全新的小型房車及迷你級距車款！

HONDA現行的第四代Legend於2010年進行小改款動作，配置SH-AWD驅動系統，搭載3.7L V6 i-VETC引擎輔以六速手自排變速箱，可提供309hp/6300rpm及37.7kgm/5000rpm的最大動力輸出；然而受到對手競爭力強及日幣匯率影響價格影響，來到2011年單月平均銷售量僅36輛，成績比2010年減少3.2%，本土消費者的不買帳，最後終於落得停產命運。
另外由美規Accord衍生而來的Inspire，在日本市場的定位是比Accord級距更高、且運動氣息十足的中大型房車，於2010年進行小改款的現行Inspire搭載3.5L V6 i-VETC引擎，搭配五速手自排變速箱及新一代VCM可變汽缸管理系統，可提供280hp/6200rpm及34.9kgm/5000rpm的最大動力輸出。
雖然HONDA尚未證實停產消息，但根據內部消息透露，目前原廠已經通知日本經銷商停止接受兩款車型的訂單；除了先前所報導、HONDA可能會在美國俄亥俄州工廠生產全新第五代Legend，並且外銷至中國、中東、俄羅斯、歐洲甚至日本等市場，不過由於Legend雙生車款RL的下一代車型RLX也預計會在2013年初在美量產上市，因此也不排除HONDA有意擴大ACURA至其他市場的可能。
