進一步擴展中國地區產能，廣汽本田增城第三生產線、新引擎廠正式奠基

近年來，HONDA日本原廠對於中國市場消費大眾越來越重視，而與合作夥伴廣汽本田的結合也更加緊密，而近幾年，身為合資品牌當中較早成立廣汽本田，除了有著發展速度不及其他品牌的現象之外，也呈現出產能不足的情況，為了加速在中國地區的發展，廣汽本田位於增城地區的第三生產線以及全新引擎廠，有在近日正式奠基。
廣汽本田的增城第三生產線、新引擎廠是以Smart SSC（Smart、Small、Simple、Compact）為原則進行打造，採用HONDA最新生產技術，將會是全球最低成本、最高效率，單具佔地面積最小、單位面積生產率最高、輸出流程最短並且最環保的智慧型環保工廠，同時其太陽能發電系統將擁有1萬kW的發電量，將會是全中國發電量最大的太陽能發電系統。
投入35.6億人民幣（約新台幣174億元）廣汽本田增城第三生產線與引擎廠，預計將在2015年完工並且開始運行，初期預估將有12萬輛的年產能，未來將持續擴大到24萬輛，而當第三生產線開始運作之後，廣汽本田的整體年產能將由目前的48萬輛提升到60萬輛，而整個HONDA在中國的整體年產能也將從87萬輛提升到101萬輛。
