還記得去年法蘭克福車展期間，本田在車展正式公開的2004年式小改款七代Civic歐規車系嗎？當時所增列的全新五門運動化版本Type S終於在五月要率先於英國上市了，對於喜愛運動風格但是不想放棄五門車型RV化空間機能的消費者來說，可是一個天大的好消息！
這款稱為Type S的全新五門版本運動化式樣，可是本田Civic七代車系首度追加的版本，其中稱為VSA的車型更是這次本田在Civic Type S主推的銷售主力，因為在有限的預算下，就提供了ESP動態車身穩定系統作為標準配備，此外在15513英鎊的建議售價，還比原先的2003年式VSA車型便宜了500英鎊的售價，除了將16吋鋁圈也列為標準配備之外，更具備了更大尺碼的煞車碟盤、定速巡航系統、線傳油門與循跡控制系統等高質配置。
此外，這輛搭載2.0升引擎的五門運動版本，更配置了密齒比五速手排，起步加速僅需8.7秒，安全極速更有210km/h的表現，以及與Type R相當的內裝配備，包括深黑色系搭配金屬飾板的運動化內裝，雙質真皮桶型座椅，而且重口味的消費者僅需多花費500英鎊就可以全面升級17吋原廠鋁圈組合，外加1200英鎊可以獲得衛星導航系統，對於預算性買家來說吸引力十足！
