東風本田將擴產並導入HONDA Civic生產對抗豐田花冠與日產陽光！

日前，剛剛與本田合作成功投產CRV的東風汽車，雙方再度宣佈將啟動東風本田的產能擴增計畫，並且將導入本田思域Civic中檔房車現地生產，預計將於2006年初之前將產能由現在的三萬輛擴大到12萬輛。
這項東風本田的工廠擴建，將在今年底之前正式開工，投資額約28億人民幣，屆時位於武漢的東風本田工廠產能滿載時，職工人數將達到2800人，此次的東風本田能擴大，工廠的建築面積將擴大到現在的3倍以上，並且將由雙方合資建立東風本田研發中心等，以達到每年12萬輛的產能目標。
東風汽車與本田技研，去年七月通過股權變更重組湖北省武漢的武漢萬通汽車，並變更公司名稱，共同成立新合資公司東風本田，並且在重整原有萬通生產線之後，於今年四月開始投產CR-V，目前的年產量為三萬輛。
根據東風本田表示，這次的擴廠計畫，在28億人民幣的總投資額中，將有三億元人民幣用作為建置研發中心的部份，這個研發中心將研製開發全新的車型，也就是由東風與本田共同研發的中國專屬車款，未來東風也不排除利用該中心資源，打造東風自有品牌車型量產。
作為中國三大汽車集團中擁有合資企業數量最多的東風汽車集團，眼見東風日產推出陽光車系、一汽豐田也推出花冠車系，包括海南馬自達也擁有國產的福美來等，日系中檔家轎未來是必將成為站距中國市場主流份額的產品形式，而東風本田也計畫，在擴廠第一階段完成時，導入HONDA Civic 本田思域現地生產，而預計市場投放價格將低於20萬人民幣，未來將與廣州本田雅閣、飛度形成互補，以完善本田中國市場傳統乘用車產品線的佈局！
