除了日本以外，本田在東亞地區的生產基地，不久之後又要增列一地，原有的廣州、武漢與曼谷之外，目前已經在越南加緊趕工的本田整車廠，在竣工之後也將正式產製本田新車！
為了善加利用東協會員國之間的低關稅優惠，並且積極參與越南汽車工業的建立，本田位於越南的第一家汽車組裝廠，不但總投資規模將超過6000萬美元，預計明年七月也將正式投產當地的第一輛國產本田汽車，第一輛越南生產的本田車，將是全新的HONDA Civic！
在越南之前，本田在東亞最重要的生產基地，位於泰國與中國內地，為了大幅提昇在東協區域內的競爭條件，最近幾年包括豐田集團，也積極在印尼與泰國等地，導入了IMV共同底盤多功能商用/休旅車計畫，豐田也因此取得相當的成效，因為在東協境內生產的汽車，除了在會員國之間可以獲得低關稅的成本優勢之外，東協國家也漸漸加入了日本車廠的全球分工體系，而本田對於東協市場的經營，當然也不想缺席，尤其中國汽車市場在總體生產毛額不斷提升的同時，整體的人力與生產成本也水漲船高，進軍勞動成本低的越南市場，也將成為未來許多日系車廠的計畫！
