HONDA 八代Civic上市預演─Civic Si Concept 芝加哥車展亮相！！

日前AutoNet曾報導，HONDA預計將於今年導入全新的八代Civic國產的消息，而在太平洋另一端正如火如荼展開的芝加哥車展中，HONDA展出一輛全新雙門的Civic Si Concept概念車款，這輛Civic Si Concept可說是八代Civic的準量產式樣，已可隱約看出全新八代Civic的新世代樣貌。
此次HONDA展出的Civic Si Concept，外觀上並未有太多的前衛概念裝飾，整體造型與甫上市不久的Legend有幾分相似，並且可嗅出些許HONDA美規車系獨有的風味。此外，預計以2006年式正式量產的Civic Si Concept，同時也慶祝紀念Civic Si Coupe於美國銷售滿20週年，自1986年第一代Civic Si 上市後，HONDA分別於1989 年、1992 年、1999 年和2002 年推出不同世代的Civic Si車款，而即將上市的八代Civic Si，為Si車型的第六代車款。
動力系統部份，Civic Si Concept搭載一具可輸出200hp最大馬力DOHC i-VTEC 引擎，轉速紅線高達8000rpm，搭配六速手排變速系統，並擁有先進的限滑差速系統，可有效的將動力藉由傳動系統、與225/40R18大尺碼高性能輪胎傳遞至地面；但此次原廠並未公佈引擎排氣量數字，為未來的量產車所使用的引擎型式預留伏筆，依照推測全新八代Civic動力系統將會有全新的設定，原來的1.7升引擎將可能由排氣量更大、且裝置更為先進的i-VTEC科技之引擎取代，以符合目前動力配置趨勢。
在Civic Si Concept現身後，全新的八代Civic將於今年秋天正式以2006年式的身分發表，美規車型設定上，將一如以往擁有三廂四門房車與雙門Coupe等，同時裝載油電混合動力的Civic Hybrid，以及使用天然氣為燃料的Civic GX車型也將一並發表。
Civic車系向來是HONDA於全球最重要的戰略車款，今年八代Civic上市後，將對TOYOTA Collora、MAZDA 3以及NISSAN Sentra車系等同級對手帶來強力的威脅，而國內也將於今年以最快的速度，與全球同步在台灣國產上市。
